My second animated fractal upload! And I think this one exceeds the first :D.

I apologize for both the monstrous file size as well as the tiny size of the fractal. The image is about 29MB at 400x300 resolution :O

I actually have a 640x480 resolution version made, but that one's about 69MB. If I hear a few comments wanting the full one to be posted, I'll put it up, but otherwise for the sake of all of your internet connections I will not.

This fractal is comprised of 300 frames at 20fps, so it should last 15 seconds in total. The flame was generated using Qosmic, and the 300 renders were done using flam3-animate. The parameters can be found below.

If you favorite or download this, please leave a comment, as this one took quite a while to make (including a botched install of Qosmic that led to a full re-install of Linux )

UPDATE: If you're having trouble viewing it on here, I've uploaded it to YouTube as well. The quality is a bit lower though... YouTube

Anyway, please:
-comment :D Let me know what size images you'd prefer in the future! If the consensus is that 50MB is fine, I'll give you nicer quality animated fractals. If 30MB is too much, I'll knock down the size/framerate some.
-:+fav: it if you'd like :)
:+devwatch: if you want to be notified of future animated fractals
-download it if you want
-feel free to use it in any derivative works if it is modified, non-commercial, and you link back

Also, if anyone knows a good way to get an animated gif into a flash file or to get a stack of png files into a flash file, please let me know!

I really love it can I use it in a Music Video?

Oh, sure, as long as proper credit is given (i.e. username and a link to this page or my deviantart page are listed), and as long as it's non-commercial. If it's commercial, send me a note and we can certainly work something out.

Also, I can re-render it pretty easily, so if you would like a longer version (more than 15 seconds), a specific resolution, or more/less frames per second, just let me know (again, a note would be best). For example, I could make a 3 minute version at 20fps (3600 frames) stretching it out, or I could add a bit more to make it loop.

Naa the langth it's at is pretty good. I don't know what you mean by commercial. It's gonna be an AMV. And it's gonna be used (granted your perition) for a few seconds of time.

Oh, by commercial I just mean if you're going to sell it. If you're not selling it, you can just ignore that. It's just the general license term I put (almost) all of my stuff under.

So yeah, if you aren't selling the video, please feel free to go ahead and use it! And post a link to it on here once it's done, if you could. :D
